Home Retreat

I always wondered what it was like going to a SUH-WEET, expensive AF* retreat to get away, pay complete attention to myself, sleep without interruption, wake up to do Yoga without kids riding me like a horse while in down dog, really hit that reset button, get a fancy massage, pay a depth of attention to my emotional status, sweat in a sauna and return to my home like a sunny, refreshed Goddess.
Ah, all the glory.
But, I learned something incredibly valuable even without going on a retreat.
My home should be a retreat.
I shouldn't have to leave my home to focus on and nurture me.
My home really should be my sacred space where I can do the deep work, on top of work work, on top of being a mom.
I have a good feeling I would be longing for the next retreat if my home environment didn't meet my needs.
It's my home retreat.
I get to love it, indulge in it and cherish it year round.
Pssst ... honestly, also, this is how I have not gone insane over the past three years.
And, let's be real, not all of us moms can make it to a quarterly or even a yearly retreat. It isn't as practical for some. So, I hope this inspires you to make some motion in creating your home to be a sacred, nourishing retreat to call your own.
In my opinion, that's worth its weight in gold.
